New Delhi: In a relief to Mayawati, Supreme Court on Thursday disposed off a petition seeking review of its
earlier judgement quashing CBI investigation into alleged disproportionate assets of the BSP supremo.
Disposing off the petition, the apex court bench headed by Chief Justice P. Sathasivam said that by its earlier judgement it has only said that the investigation into Mayawati’s alleged disproportionate assets by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) could not arise from its order of probe into Taj corridor case.

Disposing off the petition, the apex court bench headed by Chief Justice P. Sathasivam said that by its earlier judgement it has only said that the investigation into Mayawati’s alleged disproportionate assets by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) could not arise from its order of probe into Taj corridor case.
A bench of justices P Sathasivam and Dipak Misra passed an order clarifying the earlier judgement in the case. The bench had earlier said that the FIR in the DA case was quashed because the agency proceeded against her without properly understanding its orders which were confined to Taj Corridor case.
Kamlesh Verma, the review petitioner was an intervener in the case filed by BSP supremo Mayawati in the apex court for repealing of the DA case.
