After Shotgun, Amritsar MP Sidhu declared ‘missing’-Breaking news in India

Amritsar: It is a song from the golden era the colourful cricketer-turned-politician would have loved all his life. However, the song from Sazaa(1951) must be making Navjot Sidhu see red these days.
Breaking news in India

“Tum Na Jaane Kis Jahan Mein Kho Gaye”, sung by Lata Mangeshkar, screams from posters of the BJP MP in Amritsar where he is in news for wrong reasons.

Actually, you will see him on various channels, but not with people he represents. And upset with the prolonged absence of the BJP MP from his constituency, an NGO in Amritsar has put up “missing” posters promising a reward of Rs 2 lakh for anybody who would bring the parliamentarian to the city.

Interestingly, this comes soon after another BJP MP’s posters were doing the rounds recently mocking at his absence from his constituency. That was Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha, who had been declared “missing” on posters put up around his home town. Raman Bakshi, president of Amritsar Sangharsh Samiti, said they were extremely upset about Sidhu’s absence at a time when their representative was required to be present in the area.

Alleging that Sidhu had been “missing” from the area, a poster states, “Sidhu had made tall promises to the people of his constituency about making Amritsar like Paris, but has betrayed them”.
