New Delhi: Self styled godman Asaram Bapu, who is under scanner for sexually assaulting a minor girl in his Jodhpur Ashram, has now triggered another controversy by comparing his case to Lord Buddha. Denying the charges of sexual assault, Asaram said, “Even lord Buddha had to face such allegations. I am innocent. If I’m guilty, then prove it.”
The spiritual guru seemed to be calm about the whole controversy. He also said, “Even if they put me behind the bars, I am willing to go to jail with a smiling face. And I think I want to spend some time in Tihar jail. I consider jail as my Vaikunth (heaven).”
