Durga’s suspension won’t be revoked, predict bookies | Breaking news in India

New Delhi: As political temperatures refuse to cool down over IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal’s suspension, bookies are having a field day, predicting different scenarios in her battle against the sand mafia and the Akhilesh government.

Bets worth crores of rupees are being placed on the future of the Punjab cadre IAS officer. Earlier, the satta bazaar of Uttar Pradesh was lapping up the developments in the case, placing bets on Durga. But with Durga’s suspension turning into a national issue, the satta markets of Haryana, Delhi and Punjab have activated as well. Hectic betting activity is reported from markets across these states. Bookies feel that going by the political heat over the issue, a major decision on Durga could be taken soon.

Odds are stacked up against the revocation of Durga’s suspension and bookies are offering 1:10 rates for the same: this means that a person gets Rs 10 for every rupee if the suspension is taken back. The satta bazaar believes that the IAS officer will remain suspended and the rates offered are 8:10.
