All 4 guilty in Delhi gangrape case

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday held all four accused guilty in the December 16 gangrape in a moving bus in Delhi: the incident that shook the conscience of the nation and brought countrymen out on streets crying for justice for India’s braveheart.

The four accused, Akshay Thakur, Mukesh, Vinay Sharma and Pawan Gupta were found guilty of rape and murder of a 23-year-old paramedical student.

The sentencing of the four convicts will take place on Wednesday after arguments. Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde led the chorus demanding death penalty for the four. Reacting to the verdict, he said: “The way Delhi police have investigated in this case is commendable. We have made new law on rape. I expect capital punishment for all of them,” said Shinde.
